Accordion Fest
Hickory Ridge Golf and Country Club, 15816 Lynch Road, Holley
The event features accordion and concertina music from around the world, including Irish, Eastern European, Polish, Italian, and Cajun traditions. Enjoy the music of regional performers Ted McGraw, Alex Alexandrov, Casey Kliszak, Jerry Darlak, Pat Gambacurta, and Jesse Legé, hosted by Jim Kimball of SUNY Geneseo. Mini concerts will feature Jesse Legé and Bayou Brew at 2:45, and the Tom Monte Trio at 4:15; open mike session will also be offered during the afternoon. Attendees will have the chance to win a keyboard, ukulele and $100 gift certificate, donated by Roxy’s Music of Batavia. Raffle tickets will be on sale at the event only. Roxy’s will also feature a demonstration of the Roland V accordion, and be available for questions about accordion resources, repairs and maintenance. Sponsored by Genesee Orleans Regional Arts Council (GO ART). The event is supported by a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts’ Folk Arts Program.
